Things that made me smile: Part Four

  • A bag of crisps fell out of a woman’s pocket as she was walking and a man picked them up and caught up with her to give them back
  • Some guy pretending to ram the trolleys into his friend as they were coming out of Tesco and it made him jump. I chuckled
  • The chavviest couple I’ve ever seen stood in the chip shop, bloke in full Armani tracksuit holding a can of Stella Artois. You have to admire it
  • I could see a band playing Christmas music from the office window and it made me smile because I’m actually feeling festive for once
  • Manisha said “do I look nice in this picture” and I said “you don’t look fat” and she said “thanks, you always know what to say”. I smiled because sometimes being autistic pays off
  • Forest started running on our walk, and a little girl on the opposite side of the road started running along with him
  • Geraldine McQueen
  • An old man pushing a little dog in a pushchair
  • Gym full of yummy mummies on 2nd Jan, New Year’s resolutions out in FORCE
  • A young couple in the library together – goals
  • Car in front of me had “clean me witch” written on it in the dirt
  • A bloke I was chatting to in the sauna told me that brought a kettle with him and then made a cup of tea in the locker room because he doesn’t want to pay for a Costa every day. Vibe, I guess?
  • I went to primark to get some socks and the woman serving me complimented my tattoos. Always a nice ego boost
  • I went into Ladbrokes and the woman serving there ASKED ME FOR ID and complimented my tattoos as well. What is going on?
  • I just got ID’d for a scratch card – I am aging so fucking well???
  • A middle aged woman and her Mum were running for a bus and then got very excited when they made it
  • A couple in M&S playing rock, paper, scissors to decide what to get for dinner
