A Bar in Amsterdam

I’ve been watching you sitting across from me as I sit here drinking wine with my friends on this beautiful evening. I can’t seem to help myself, I can’t focus on anything else, I’m captivated by you and your beauty. Your leg is resting on his chair under the table, gently brushing his leg, and he’s innocently gazing into your eyes with a longing and lust that one can only dream of enjoying. I hope you realise how unquestionably lucky you are, sitting there living my dream, enjoying a moment that is so beautiful it halts time, halts space, exists in it’s own world, it’s own timeline, it’s own uniquely wonderful orbit. Your jumper is so pretty and your face is so flawless that it’s no wonder he looks at you as he does, devoted to you, uninhibited by the worries of the world and the doubts of most. The things I’d do, the sacrifices I’d make, the tribulations I’d endure just to sit where you are, to be as you are, to revel in the adoration of another man as you do so effortlessly, so peacefully, so carefree and unnoticed. I should get back to my friends.
